SEO architecture for delivery sites

Challenge

Startodel client sites were SPAs with client-side rendering. Google simply didn't see them - just an empty page with a loader in the index. Restaurants paid for ads when they could have been getting traffic for free on queries like "pizza delivery [city]".

Technical details

Solution

I switched to SSR via Nuxt - bots get ready HTML. Created individual URLs for each menu item instead of a single page with filters. Added Schema.org Product markup - Google started showing cards with price and photo right in search results. Set up auto-generated sitemap.xml, canonical URLs, and Open Graph for sharing.

Result

Client sites started reaching Google top-5 for local queries within 2-3 months. Restaurants began getting orders from organic search - previously their sites weren't indexed at all. Rich snippets with price and photo make the sites stand out in search results.
